Restaurant Filters
Overview
The restaurant filtering system allows users to refine search results based on specific criteria. This document outlines the available filters, operators, and step-by-step instructions for applying filters to restaurant searches in the admin site.
Accessing the Restaurant Filters
- Navigate to the Restaurants page using the admin panel.
- Click on the Filters button to open the filtering options.
Applying Filters
- Click Filters on the Restaurants page.
- Select a Filter from the dropdown list.
- Select an Operator that corresponds to the filter type.
- Enter or select a Value.
- (Optional) Click +Add Filter to apply multiple filters simultaneously.
- Click Apply to update the restaurant results based on the selected criteria.
Available Filters
When applying filters, you can select from the following criteria:
| Filter Name | Definition |
|---|---|
| Name | The name of the restaurant. |
| Number | The assigned store number. |
| ID | The Onosys ID of the restaurant (this is the number and letter GUID in the URL of the restaurant) |
| Primary Transmission Online | Will indicate which locations Onosys is or is not connected to, depending on a True/False input for the value |
| Active | Will indicate which locations has their Status set to Active or not, depending on a True/False input for the value |
| Admin Only | Will indicate which locations are set up with Admin Only view, depending on a True/False input for the value |
| Taking Orders | Will indicate which order channel the location is taking orders for, depending on a value showing Online Ordering, Call Center, and/or Marketplaces |
| City | The city where the restaurant is located. |
| State | The state where the restaurant is located. |
| ZipCode | The postal code of the restaurant. |
| Ownership Type | Specifies if the restaurant is corporate-owned or a franchise. |
| Contact Name | The primary contact person's name. |
| Contact Number | The phone number of the main contact person. |
Note: ID, Primary Transmission Online, Active, Admin Only, and Taking Orders will not be available until brand is utilizing V8.2 of the admin
Available Operators
Each filter has corresponding operators to refine search results. Below is a list of available operators and their definitions:

| Contains | Returns results that have all or part of the value. | Text or identifier |
| Does Not Contain | Excludes results that contain the value. | Text or identifier |
| Starts With | Returns results that begin with the value. | Text or identifier |
| Equals | Returns an exact match. | Numeric, text value, or True/False |
| Does Not Equal | Excludes exact matches. | Numeric or text value |
| Contains All | Returns results containing all specified values. | Text or identifier |
| Contains Some | Returns results containing at least one of the values. | Text or identifier |
| Less Than | Returns values less than the input. | Date, time, or number |
| Greater Than | Returns values greater than the input. | Date, time, or number |
| Less Than or Equal | Returns values less than or equal to the input. | Date, time, or number |
| Greater Than or Equal | Returns values greater than or equal to the input. | Date, time, or number |
Example Searches
Example 1: Search for Online Restaurants
- Click Filters.
- Select Online from the Filter dropdown.
- Choose Equals as the Operator.
- Select True as the Value.
- Click Apply to filter results to only online restaurants.
Example 2: Search for Restaurants in Cleveland, Ohio
- Click Filters.
- Select City from the Filter dropdown.
- Choose Contains as the Operator.
- Enter Cleveland as the Value.
- Click +Add Filter to add another filter.
- Select State from the Filter dropdown.
- Choose Contains as the Operator.
- Enter Ohio as the Value.
- Click Apply to display results for restaurants in Cleveland, Ohio.
Notes
- Multiple filters can be applied at once to refine search results further.
- The system updates results based on the applied/removed filters.
