Owned configurations are distinct from shared configurations, as they are exclusive to a single restaurant rather than being shared across multiple locations. These configurations include access levels that can be restricted to users with limited restaurant access, allowing them to create and update configurations without the ability to modify shared ones. However, a limitation of owned configurations is that they cannot be utilized across multiple restaurants and are only applicable to the restaurant that owns them.
How to set up an owned configuration:
- Log into the Onosys admin site for your brand.
- Go to the Restaurants section and select a location.
- Select a setting that uses configurations (Lead Times, Hours of Operation, Taxes, Fees)
- On these pages, there is a button to create a new Owned Configuration
- Clicking this results in the create dialog, where you'll input the settings for the Owned Configuration
- After you create the configuration, it is applied at the restaurant
- To manage the owned configuration, click the Edit Owned Configuration button
- Keep in mind that this configuration will only be able to be applied, edited, etc. for this restaurant. It will not be available to other restaurants.
