Shared Tax Configuration Guide
Overview
Tax configurations in Onosys determine how taxes are applied to restaurant orders. This includes overall tax settings like tax rounding and specific tax rates under different tax categories (Tax Buckets.).
Key Steps to Enable Taxes
To ensure a restaurant charges taxes correctly, follow these steps:
-
Set Taxes in a Tax Bucket – Define the tax rate within a tax bucket.
-
Apply the Tax Configuration to the Restaurant – Ensure the correct configuration is assigned.
-
Assign the Tax Bucket to Menu Items & Delivery Fees – Taxes only apply if linked to specific items and fees.
By completing all these steps, Onosys will accurately apply taxes at checkout.
