Configure Tips to Fit Any Order

Define the tip options available to users on your ordering storefront. This new structure allows multiple tip options to be offered to users based on their fulfillment type and/or order subtotal. It includes support for both dollar ($) and percentage (%) values, as well as a custom 'Other' tip option that allows customers to add their own tip amount.

Another benefit is the ability to configure maximum tip, if needing to keep in line with Third Party Delivery requirements. Brands can also create their own labels/names for the tip options, so if you want to offer an option to "Buy the kitchen a beer!" or another fun option, that is now available.

• Flexible structure: Define any number of tip options

• Threshold based tip options: Tip options appy based on a specific subtotal level (threshold).

• Fulfillment type tip options: Configure tiers to apply to specific fulfillment type(s)

• Maximum tip amount: Require a maximum tip amount per tip option - this allows users to confrom to third party delivery tip requirements

• Minimum tip amount: Require a minimum tip amount on an order

• Mixed value types: Tip options can be in dollars ($) or percentages (%), with the ability to offer both options to users

• Configurable tip labels: Enter the text you want for tip options to display to customers. Allows options such as: $10, 10%, "Buy the kitchen a beer! ($10)" 

• Configurable defaults: A tip option can be marked as preselected for users to save a click

Features and Tips

1. Tip Options 
   1. The system checks tip options in order
   2. If an order subtotal is greater than than or equal to the tip threshold, that option will apply. Note: The largest tip threshold amount that is less than or equal to the order subtotal will apply
   3. Preselection Logic
      1. Only one tip per option should be marked as a default
      2. If no tip is marked, and a tip is required, the customer will have to manually select a tip before proceeding
2. Value Types
   1. $ indicates a fixed dollar tip (e.g., "$5")
   2. % indicates a percentage-based tip calculated from the subtotal
   3. "Other" allows customer-defined custom tip entry (they can choose percentage or dollar amount)
3. Labels
   1. You can enter a label for the tip. If you want it to say something different than the tip value (e.g. $10, 10%), enter the text here (e.g. Buy the kitchen a beer!)
4. Notes
   1. All tip-related items (default values, thresholds, preselected options) are able to be managed by your Client Success Manager. Connect with them to find out more about setting up the perfect tip options for your brand. 
   2. This update will not overwrite current defined presets. Only changes made to the options will update the tip options as displayed on the site today.
